Saturday 6th April, 2013
Australian Speedway Drivers and Riders Association Incorporated displayed two Vintage and Classic cars and one speedcar plus the information table with a few promotional items and written material available.
Chris Davies’ #63 Speedcar
An announcement was made over the loudspeaker telling people what we are trying to achieve with the restoration of the Speedway Track at Corrigin and encouraging them to come and find out more about it.
A few valuable contacts were made and we were able to meet more of the wonderful people of Corrigin and surrounding districts.
Gary Smith’s Stingray Corvette and Bob McNess’ 6 cylinder Ford powered Modified Hot Rod.
Those who attended the Vintage and Classic Motor Show at Corrigin on Saturday 6th April were delighted with the variety and number of motors and motor vehicles on display, the multitude of market stalls, the rides for the kids and the jumping castle plus the abundance of excellent food available.
The organisers are to be congratulated for the amount of planning and organisation that went into the event.
Many thanks to the ASDRA representatives who spoke to the people visiting our small display. We met a lot of great people and had a very enjoyable day in spite of the thunderstorm and rain that occurred shortly after the grand parade. A great day out.
