Work Party 6th & 7th February, 2016

Some areas were quite hard and required the weight of two men and sometimes three to drill through the compacted clay.

It was soon evident that a good soaking with water would soften the clay making it possible to drill through.

The two brothers were enjoying themselves with the new toy.

Fortunately there was someone to keep them on the straight and narrow.

This doesn’t just happen by accident. Alan has been busy with string lines and measuring tape to keep things straight and uniform.

The next job will be to get this mesh on to the poles.

All the post holes have been drilled and the ground around the leach drain has been filled and levelled.

A few of the posts have not yet been cemented in place but that will have to wait for another day.
